An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Is cumhachtaí ná glór na n-iluiscí, ná tonnta na mara móire, an Tiarna os a gcionn in airde.

Salm 93:4

Tháinig sé isteach sa bhád chucu agus thit an ghaoth.

Marcas 6:51

Salm 93 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

1 Tá an Tiarna ina rí is é gléasta le glóir;
chlúdaigh sé é féin le neart;
chrioslaigh sé é féin le cumhacht.
Bhunaigh sé an domhan go dobhogtha.
2 Tá do chathaoir arna daingniú ó na cianta;
tá tú ann ón tsíoraíocht, a Thiarna.
3 Thóg na tuilte a nglór, a Thiarna;
thóg na tuilte a nglór go torannach;

4 Is cumhachtaí ná glór na n-iluiscí,
ná tonnta na mara móire,
an Tiarna os a gcionn in airde.
5 Is dearfa go deimhin do reachtanna;
is do do theachsa is cuí an naofacht,
a Thiarna, go brách na breithe.

Marcas 6 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

48 Ar a fheiceáil dó go raibh siad ar saothar ag na maidí rámha, mar bhí an ghaoth ina gcoinne, tháinig sé chucu, timpeall an ceathrú faire den oíche, agus é ag siúl ar an bhfarraige, agus bhí sé ar tí dul tharstu.
49 Shíl siad gur taibhse a bhí ann agus scread siad amach,

51 Tháinig sé isteach sa bhád chucu agus thit an ghaoth.
52 Agus tháinig alltacht thar na bearta orthu, mar níor thuig siad mar gheall ar na builíní, ach bhí a gcroí go dúr.
53 Ar dhul trasna dóibh, bhuail siad talamh ag Geinéasaireit agus tháinig chun leaba ancaire.
54 Agus ar theacht as an mbád dóibh, d’aithin na daoine é agus rith siad ar fud an cheantair sin ar fad,

Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty!

Jesus got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded.

Mark 6:51

Salm 93 (English Standard Version)

1 The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty;
the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt.
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.
2 Your throne is established from of old;
you are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their roaring.
4 Mightier than the thunders of many waters,
mightier than the waves of the sea,
the Lord on high is mighty!
5 Your decrees are very trustworthy;
holiness befits your house,
O Lord, forevermore.

Marcas 6 (English Standard Version)

48 And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them,
49 but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out,
50 for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said,
“Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
51 And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded,
52 for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore.
54 And when they got out of the boat, the people immediately recognized him
