An Bíobla Naofa 1981

An féidir do dhall bheith ina ghiolla i gcionn daill? Nach dtitfidh siad araon sa díg? Níl an deisceabal os cionn an mháistir; ach nuair a bhíonn deireadh foghlamtha aige beidh gach deisceabal mar atá a mháistir.

Lúcás 6:39-40

Osclaíonn an Tiarna súile na ndall.

Salm 146:8

Lúcás 6 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

36 Bígí sibhse atruach amhail mar atá bhur nAthair atruach.
37 Ná tugaigí breith agus ní thabharfar breith oraibh. Ná daoraigí agus ní dhaorfar sibh. Maithigí agus maithfear daoibh.
38 Tugaigí agus tabharfar daoibh: tomhas maith, fuinte, craite, cruachta a chuirfear chugaibh in bhur n-ucht; óir is leis an tomhas lena dtomhaiseann sibh a thomhaisfear chugaibh ar ais.”
39 Agus dúirt sé parabal leo: “An féidir do dhall bheith ina ghiolla i gcionn daill? Nach dtitfidh siad araon sa díg?
40 Níl an deisceabal os cionn an mháistir; ach nuair a bhíonn deireadh foghlamtha aige beidh gach deisceabal mar atá a mháistir.
41 Cad chuige a bhfeiceann tú an cáithnín i súil do bhráthar agus nach n-airíonn tú an tsail atá i do shúil féin?
42 Conas is féidir duit a rá le do bhráthair: ‘A bhráthair, fan go mbaine mé as do shúil an cáithnín atá inti,’ agus nach bhfeiceann tú an tsail atá i do shúil féin? A bhréagchráifigh, bain ar dtús an tsail as do shúil féin, agus ansin is fearrde a fheicfidh tú an cáithnín atá i súil do bhráthar a bhaint aisti.
43 Óir níl crann maith a thugann drochthoradh, ná fós drochchrann a thugann toradh fónta.

Salm 146 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

5 Is méanar don té a bhfuil a chúnamh i nDia Iacóib;
a chuireann a dhóchas sa Tiarna, a Dhia,
6 an té a rinne neamh agus talamh,
an fharraige, agus gach a bhfuil iontu.
An té a sheasann lena bhriathar de shíor;
7 agus a dhéanann ceart don dream atá faoi chois.
Is é a thugann bia don ocrach.
Is é an Tiarna a scaoileann na braighdeanaigh.
8 Osclaíonn sé súile na ndall. Tógann sé suas an dream atá crom. Tugann an Tiarna grá don fhíréan;
9 Cumhdaíonn an Tiarna an coimhthíoch; déanann sé tacaíocht don dílleachtaí is don bhaintreach. ach cuireann sé slí na bpeacach trína chéile.
10 Beidh an Tiarna i réim go brách,
ina Dhia agat, a Shíón, ó ghlúin go glúin.

Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.

Luke 6:39-40

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.

Psalm 146:8

Lúcás 6 (English Standard Version)

36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
37 “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
39 He also told them a parable:
“Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
41 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
43 “For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit,

Salm 146 (English Standard Version)

5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who keeps faith forever;
7 who executes justice for the oppressed,
who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets the prisoners free;
8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
10 The Lord will reign forever,
your God, O Zion, to all generations.
Praise the Lord!
