An Bíobla Naofa 1981

A Thiarna: is tusa an bhuaic go hard os cionn cách.

1 Croinicí 29:11

Go dtaga do ríocht; go ndéantar do thoil ar an talamh mar a dhéantar ar neamh.

Matha 6:10

1 Croinicí 29 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

8 An té a raibh clocha lómhara aige, thug sé iad do chiste theach an Tiarna, le bheith faoi chúram Ichíéil an Géirseonach.
9 Bhí lúcháir ar an bpobal mar go ndearna siad a n-ofrálacha le barr féile, mar ba le barr croí mhóir a d’ofráil siad a dtabhartas fial don Tiarna. Bhí Dáiví rí freisin lán d’áthas.
10 Mhol Dáiví an Tiarna i láthair an chomhthionóil ar fad agus dúirt: “Gura beannaithe thú, a Thiarna, Dia Iosrael ár sinsear, go brách na breithe.
11 Is leatsa, a Thiarna, an mhéid, an chumhacht, an ghlóir, an bua, agus an mhórgacht; óir is leatsa a bhfuil ar neamh agus ar talamh; is leatsa an flaitheas, a Thiarna: is tusa an bhuaic go hard os cionn cách.
12 Is uaitse saibhreas agus onóir, agus is tú a rialaíonn gach ní; tá neart agus cumhacht i do láimh; ar do láimhse atá méid agus cumas a thabhairt do chách.
13 Beirimid buíochas leat anois a Dhia linn, agus molaimid glóir d’ainm.
14 Óir cé hé mise agus céard é mo mhuintir, go mbeadh sé d’acmhainn ionainn tabhartais chomh fial sin a bhronnadh? Óir is uaitse gach ní agus is ó do chuid féin a bhronnaimid ort.

Matha 6 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

7 “Agus sa ghuí daoibh, ná déanaigí deilín de mar a dhéanann na págánaigh; samhlaíonn siad seo, dá mhéad a gcaint, gurb ea is dóichí go n-éistfear leo.
8 Ná déanaigí aithris orthu; mar is eol do bhur nAthair na nithe a theastaíonn uaibh sula n-iarrann sibh air iad.
9 Seo mar a dhéanfaidh sibhse guí:
Ár nAthair, atá ar neamh,
go naofar d’ainm;
10 go dtaga do ríocht;
go ndéantar do thoil ar an talamh mar a dhéantar ar neamh.
11 Ár n-arán laethúil tabhair dúinn inniu;
12 agus maith dúinn ár bhfiacha, mar a mhaithimidne dár bhféichiúna féin;
13 agus ná lig sinn i gcathú,
ach saor sinn ó olc.

English Standard Version

Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

1 Chronicles 29:11

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:10

1 Croinicí 29 (English Standard Version)

8 And whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, in the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.
10 Therefore David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly. And David said: “Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever.
11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
13 And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
14 “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.

Matha 6 (English Standard Version)

7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
