Reina-Valera 1995

17 Pero gracias a Dios que, aunque erais esclavos del pecado, habéis obedecido de corazón a aquella forma de doctrina que os transmitieron;

Miqueas 7 (Reina-Valera 1995)

16 Las naciones lo verán y se avergonzarán
de todo su poderío;
se pondrán la mano sobre la boca
y ensordecerán sus oídos.
17 Lamerán el polvo como la culebra,
como las serpientes de la tierra;
temblarán en sus encierros,
se volverán amedrentados
ante Jehová, nuestro Dios,
y temerán ante ti.
18 »¿Qué Dios hay como tú,
que perdona la maldad
y olvida el pecado
del remanente de su heredad?
No retuvo para siempre su enojo,
porque se deleita en la misericordia.
19 Él volverá a tener misericordiade nosotros;
sepultará nuestras iniquidades
y echará a lo profundo del mar
todos nuestros pecados.
20 Mantendrás tu fidelidad a Jacob,
y a Abraham tu misericordia,
tal como lo juraste a nuestros padres
desde tiempos antiguos».

English Standard Version

Having been set free from sin, you have become slaves of righteousness.

Romans 6:18

He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Micah 7:19

Romanos 6 (English Standard Version)

15 What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,
18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21 But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

Miqueas 7 (English Standard Version)

16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might;
they shall lay their hands on their mouths;
their ears shall be deaf;
17 they shall lick the dust like a serpent,
like the crawling things of the earth;
they shall come trembling out of their strongholds;
they shall turn in dread to the Lord our God,
and they shall be in fear of you.
18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
19 He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea.
20 You will show faithfulness to Jacob
and steadfast love to Abraham,
as you have sworn to our fathers
from the days of old.
